The Tooth Fairy is coming to our house!!!

7 Years, 8 Months & finally the Tooth Fairy will get to dig under Matthew's pillow! I was starting to get worried that Sam was going to lose a tooth before him. But finally one started wiggling and Matthew went to work on it. This afternoon he came running upstairs to tell me that he lost his tooth. I could figure it out because just a few days before, there was no way it was any where near falling out. Then he explained, he wiggled it a little, then grabbed it, and pulled! Oh well, better him than me. I was going to leave that parental duty to Kurt! Wonder what the tooth fairy will bring!?!?!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The "Hockey Moms" plus one decided we would do something different by going to the Alamo Drafthouse for The Ladies of the 80's Singalong. We got into the spirit of it by dressing up. Granted I didn't dress this over the top when I was a teenager in the 80's. I was more of the preppy type.....Jordache or Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, LaCoste shirts, etc...but I did have the big hair. In fact I was a little scared how quick & easy my hair flew out to the original heights of the 80's. In fact, I threw up a side ponytail (as in my cheerleading days) on the first try!!!! We had a blast singing all the songs we remembered and even a few we forgot!!!

Coffeehouse Poetry

Matthew's class had a poetry reading. We were not given coffee, but the artifical flowers were stuck in coffee beans, so it smelled soooooooo good. We were given cookies and brownies along with the entertainment of 1st grade poetry!

Simple Machines

Here is a trip back to 1st Grade education.....simple machines. Wouldn't you know it Uncle John had all of the samples Matthew needed for his homework project.

My Baby is.......5!!!!

We are at an end of another kiddo milestone...it is the last year that I can use one hand to display the age of my baby! Sam is such a great kid. He may bug the hell out of me with his persistence, but he is just like me. I am so unbelievably happy that he has turned into the wonderful little boy he is today. I can not tell you the tears I cried for him the first months we had him in our home after the first 16 months of his life in Russia. But by his daily actions, I believe that God knew he was always meant for our family. We love you Sammie.....Happy Birthday!!!!!

First we started at school with donuts and hats. Mommy took a break from Creative Movement to join the fun.
Next to the most appropriate place for a 5 year old to enjoy a birthday dinner....Chuck E. Cheese
Finally, a fun, Friday fanfare with the family!

My Little Cowboy

The 1st grade classes put on a great play about Texas and all the kids were asked to dress up as cowboys/cowgirls. Matthew always wants to dress up for events. So here is my Texas Cowboy......He now knows the Texas pledge, State Song - Texas, Our Texas, and Deep in the Heart of Texas. His Texas Mommy is so proud, his Minnesota Dad doesn't understand what all the fuss is about!!!!

Football vs. Hockey

We are about to have a huge rumble in the Wagner house!!! Matthew has joined a flag football team. Now don't fret, hockey is still #1 in our house, but Matthew has been begging to play football as well. So far he loves it.....so do I, just look at the difference in the amount of equipment we have to take to each sport.....You decide which you would like to carry. Or better yet, which sport do I get the least complaints from Matthew about carrying his equipment to practice!

HOCKEY (This is both Matthew & Sam's equipment) FOOTBALL

More Trophies for Matthew

The same weekend we celebrated the end of hockey season with Matthew as well.....both for his House hockey team and the South Texas Youth Hockey League. Matthew concluded his trophy presentation with a speech.......he is so going to be an actor!!!!!

Sam's First Trophy

We got to celebrate with Sam as he experienced the joy of receiving your first trophy! Do you think he liked it???

He was so excited....he held onto it all day...until we got home....then he had to put it with Matthew & Daddy's trophies!!!

The big brothers (Matthew & Sam Anderson) got to help out as goalie's during the Mini-Mite game. They are not relaxing, they are having their equipment put on by Coach Kurt & Coach Ben!!

Now for the big movie.......Sam is in a black jersey, in the middle of the frame most of the time. He falls in front of the net where Matthew is tending goal!

Sam's Preschool HEB Field Trip

Well, I have one more thing I can check off my been there, done that, list....preschool field trips. Sam went on his last preschool field trip to HEB. There was lots of fun to be had with about 28 students, 4 teachers, & a dozen or so parents.....

Watch out shoppers...here we come!
Super silly HEB kings...Nate & Sam
A bit chilly in the freezer with Ms. Alicia.
Checking out the fish counter...."do you really think they are gonna make us try that??"
