Mrs. McCord's Baby Shower

The Mom's and kid's of Mrs. McCord's Kindergarten Class hosted a baby shower for their wonderful teacher. She received a Pack 'n Play and a gift certificate to Babies R Us and a few gifts from others. Mrs. McCord and the kids played "Guess how big Mrs. McCord's tummy is" and pictionary with baby items. I think the kids liked opening presents the most.
Yea Mrs. McCord!!!!

Peace Lutheran Preschool Sing-a-long

Sam's preschool puts on their annual Sing-a-long. Sam's 3 year class sang "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer". Sam got stage fright and just stood there. But at least for Sam he stood there until the song was over, then decided to climb under the pulpit!

Turkey Challenge

Here are photos from the annual Mites vs. Midget Turkey Challenge game. Of course, the Mites won 8-1. The little ones had so much fun beating up on the big kids.
Matthew is #20! He is also the smallest one out there!

SRE Field Trip - Sweet Berry Farm

Matthew's Kindergarten class took their first field trip to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls. They got to ride the buses an hour each way. They had so much fun playing with the goats, riding the hay ride, racing through the maze, pumpkin racing, painting pumpkins (that was a lot of fun for the Mom's) and shucking corn (everyone keeped all their fingers!).
I asked Matthew if he fell asleep on the ride home and he said yes. I asked who he sat by and he said "JoJo, she fell asleep also and looked like an angel!" Man, do I have a heartbreaker on my hands. Such a charmer, I didn't ask if he told JoJo the same thing.

Spiky Hair

I took the boys to get haircuts today at a new place by our house, Pigtails and Crewcuts! The boys were given special treatments of spiky hair. Matthew went a step further and went for blue hair!!!

Fall Celebration at Steiner Ranch Elementary

Matthew's class celebrated Fall with a class party. They made trail mix, created a scrapbook page (YEA!), made a headband, played pass the pumpkin, and made a flashlight necklace. Sam and I went and had a great time watching Matthew have fun with all his friends!

Sam's HEB Field Trip

Sam and his Preschool class took a field trip to HEB. They got to learn about fruits, they pet a lobster, watched tortillas being made, ate some turkey and cheese, and learned about brushing their teeth. I think all of the kids favorite thing was to look at all the desserts in the case. But for some reason, Sam was super psyched about the pineapple!!!!

Happy Halloween

We were the Spiderman house this year. Matthew was the black Spiderman and Sam was the red and blue Spiderman. The boys went trick or treating and brought back about as much candy as they could carry. We should be good until next Halloween. We thought they would never go to sleep that night, but they finally crashed at about 9:30.

Steiner Ranch Elementary Kindergarten Nursery Rhyme Parade

Matthew's class studies Nursery Rhymes for two weeks, then they have a parade with the kids dressed up as their favorite nursery rhyme. Kurt said that it was a very good thing that I'm around after this request....guess what Matthew was.....
Hey diddle, diddle
the cat and the fiddle,
the cow jumped over the moon,
the little dog laugh to see such fun,
and the ....................................................

Peace Lutheran Preschool Halloween Parade

Sam had his Halloween Parade at preschool. Those kiddos were so hyped up on partying and candy, by the time Sam made it home he crashed and slept for three hours!!!

Carving Pumpkins

I think the boys have my creative side - just a face on a pumpkin won't do! I know you know they didn't carve these, but they picked out what they wanted and they helped dig out the "guts" of the pumpkin. They even tasted some of the seeds, then quickly spit them out. Oh, what fun boys are!!!

University of Texas vs. Nebraska

Kurt and I were graciously given two tickets to UT's football game by Ms. Mac (Matthew's former and Sam's current preschool teacher). It was a great game, we won 28-25! The 4th quarter was awesome! Other than the sun BEATING down on us until the last 2 minutes of the game, we had such so much fun. It was so cool to see the entire stadium going crazy and shouting cheers. Before the game we walked through the tailgating area, man, do those people know how to throw a party. The funniest thing we saw were that people actually had plasmas and satellite dishes all set up! Hopefully Ms. Mac will be generous again and we will get to go again!!! We would have loved to have taken the boys, but after sitting, or I should say standing, through the entire game, we don't think the boys would have made it.

Sweet Berry Farm

Sam and I went to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls with our friends, Lissa and Nate. It was a great cool Fall day. We went through a corn maze, had a hay ride, played with the goats, threw some pumpkins around, and bought some really different pumpkins and gourds. We had such a nice time with our two "little" ones. The two of them were able to run around and do whatever they wanted without having to to what their older sibling wants to do. We decided to take the little ones because the big kindergartner's are going on a field trip there in a few weeks.

Matthew's 6th Birthday Party

Where is a kid's favorite place to have their birthday party - Chuck E. Cheese!!!
We celebrated Matthew's 6th birthday there today. He and his friends had so much fun. He has such a great group of friends. One of them even dressed up like Spiderman! They played games, ate pizza and cake, and danced with Chuck E. Cheese.
As a parent, I would have to say this was one of the best places to have a party. They were so helpful with getting everything together, helping serve, and keeping our tables clean. Oh, it was also pretty calm since it was Sunday morning. Absolutely the best time to have a party on the weekend at Chuck E. Cheese!!!!
